• Degenerative neurological disorder afflicting Vulcanoids

  • Progressive loss of motor control through failure of somatic nervous system
    • Initial symptoms include facial droop, muscle weakness (DS9: "Inter Arma Enim Silent Leges")

  • Degeneration eventually progresses to autonomic nervous system
