- Military of the Confederacy of Vulcan
- Originally reported directly to the Vulcan High Command
- Following 2154 reforms, reported to the Vulcan Defense Directorate
- Upon transition of Defense Force from independent agency to Defense Directorate subagency, all vessels previously referred to with DFC prefix were renamed to DDV prefix
- Conjectural based on conflicting references to "Defense Directorate Vessel" (ENT Novel: Beneath the Raptor's Wing) and DFC (ENT Novel: To Brave the Storm)
