Dramian plague

• Also known as the auroral plague (TAS: "Albatross")
• First reported 2251 on Dramia II (TAS: "Albatross")
  • Plague resulted in the deaths of a majority of the population (TAS: "Albatross")
• Caused by virus spurred through otherwise-benign radiation produced by local stellar auroras (TAS: "Albatross")
  • Presumably virus is able to metabolize radiation in some manner upon integration within cells? (TAS: "Albatross")
• Symptoms include changes in skin pigmentation, progressing from pale blue to pale green to pale red (TAS: "Albatross")
  • Terminal stage begins upon shift to green pigmentation (TAS: "Albatross")
• Treatment developed after discovery of survivor of the initial plague (TAS: "Albatross")
  • Derived from antibodies against Saurian virus, which the survivor had been suffering from at time of infection (TAS: "Albatross")
