Earth Starfleet

• Standing space-based military arm of United Earth circa 2130-2161
  • Contrast UESPA (civilian space exploration) and Earth Cargo Service (United Earth merchant marine)
• Established 2130 with founding of United Earth as conglomeration of space-based military services of component nations
• Chartered for both exploration of space and defense of United Earth from external threats
• Founded in large part as part of Earth's attempts at asserting independence from Confederacy of Vulcan despite protectorate status
• Source of much of bureaucratic structure of later Federation Starfleet
• Disbanded and reincorporated into Starfleet upon founding of Federation in 2161 alongside UESPA
